During February, ATI Management and engineers undertook 3 days Health & Safety Training to achieve SMAS Worksafe Accreditation.
The training covered general Health & Safety but had particular sections on Manual Handling, Working at Height and Asbestos Awareness … these three elements are vital for ATI Engineers who work onsite internally and externally across refurbishment or new build projects.
By achieving the SMAS Worksafe certificate, we have met the SSIP core criteria recognised by the HSE and other SSIP accreditation schemes. Meeting the SSIP Core Criteria demonstrates that we are serious about H&S and have and use an effective H&S Management System to ensure that any work they are engaged in is, so far as reasonably practical, carried out without risk to health and safety.
As a Principal Contractor we have also successfully demonstrated that we plan, manage and monitor the construction and coordination of matters relating to health and safety.
ATI Group Managing Director, Simon Robinson said “This training programme was a huge investment for ATI showing our commitment to Health & Safety as our business continues to grow and work with well established major construction companies.” he continued “Every member of management attended the course alongside our engineers, ensuring we all have the same knowledge, understanding and approach to Health & Safety. I was personally delighted to see the effort and commitment of my staff.”
